BLACK NATIVITY is in theaters now!
Dr. Uvistra Naidoo contracted a severe form of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (TB) during his medical residency. Three years, one week, and one day later he was cured. He’s one of the lucky survivors. Today, TB is the leading cause of death in South Africa and healthcare workers like Uvi are at risk. Share Uvi's story with your friends - especially those in the healthcare community! Join us: http://www.tbunmasked.org/ and use #TBunmasked on social media! TB is a worldwide epidemic that kills more than 1.5 million people each year. Healthcare workers are on the front lines of this epidemic, putting themselves at risk of TB exposure and infection on a daily basis while caring for others. Healthcare workers deserve to be protected from the devastation of TB. More can be done, today and in the future. We must push towards the only viable, long-term solution: the development of a new, effective TB vaccine.
